Happ on Mac: Installing and Connecting with an Access Key
Getting Happ up and running on macOS is simple — download the file, permit it to open, paste in a key or subscription link from the Telegram bot, and connect.
What to prepare first
Running Happ on a Mac calls for two things together: the app file and an access key. Even with the app installed, you can't connect without a key — and keys and subscription links are only issued by the service's Telegram bot.

Downloading the installer
Pick up the Mac build from the download page — that same page also shows every other platform in case you want Happ elsewhere too.
- Head to the Happ for macOS download page
- Choose the file matching your processor architecture
- Let it finish downloading into your Downloads folder
Installing and launching the app
Open the file you downloaded and drag Happ into the Applications folder. The first time you launch it, macOS frequently displays a warning about an unidentified developer — that's simply Gatekeeper doing its job, not any indication the file is faulty.
- Open Applications and double-click Happ to start it
- If a warning appears, head to System Settings → Privacy & Security and permit the app to run
- Launch Happ once more — this time it opens with no warning
Adding the key and connecting
With the app open, enter the key or subscription link from the Telegram bot. Usually pasting the link into the correct field is all that's needed — Happ populates the server details by itself.

- Choose a server and tap connect

When the connection fails to go through
Now and then it won't work on the first attempt — an expired key, an unreliable internet connection, or a server that's momentarily unavailable are the typical culprits.
- See whether the key has expired
- Try another server from the list
- Restart the app and connect again
